Job Title: Student Ministry Director
Ministry/Department: Eleven22 Students
Reports to: Central Ministries Pastor, Kids and Students
Status: Full-time, exempt
Supervisory Role: Yes
Objective The Student Ministry Director provides leadership and strategic direction for all Eleven22 Student Ministry environments, stewarding and contextualizing the spiritual and strategic direction so that every campus embodies an aligned, gospel-centered and mission-focused culture. This role helps one more generation discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ and fulfill the church’s mission to make disciples who make disciples.
Key Responsibilities Spiritual and Strategic Alignment
Reinforce the church’s discipleship framework in every environment, event and communication
Align all student teaching, group curriculum and leader training with The Church of Eleven22® Discipleship Journey framework
Evaluate campus gatherings and events to ensure they consistently reflect a gospel-centered, mission-focused DNA
Ensure student ministry vision and values are consistent with churchwide direction
Provide theological clarity that drives all programming decisions
Ministry Planning and Measurable Progress
Define and track ministry goals and measurable student next steps
Lead creation and quarterly evaluation of the annual Student Ministry MAPs (Ministry Action Plans), tied to spiritual growth outcomes
Track progress on engagement, baptism, serving and leadership development
Adjust strategies and initiatives based on ongoing data and feedback
Leadership and Team Development
Foster spiritual health, unity and operational excellence among Eleven22 Student Ministry staff (central and campus-based)
Coach and develop leaders for high performance and ministry longevity
Identify and mentor high-capacity leaders for future expansion and scalability
Systems and Events Excellence
Ensure student gatherings, disciple groups and large-scale events run with clarity, excellence and alignment
Design and evaluate systems for weekly programming and events (e.g., ONE Weekend, Student Camp)
Partner with the Student Operation Ministers for streamlined logistics and support
Partner with the Student Discipleship Ministers to align resources for next step engagement
Parent and Church Partnership
Empower parents as primary disciple-makers and maintain clarity and collaboration across the church
Provide parents with ongoing communication and disciple-making resources
Serve as Eleven22 Student Ministry representative to Central Ministries and church leadership teams
Ensure consistent communication that promotes trust and shared mission across campuses

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
7–10 years of ministry leadership experience, including at least three years in a multi‑site or central leadership context
Proven success in team development, large‑scale event execution and leading through effective systems and a healthy culture
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time, exempt position with a standard expectation of 40 hours per week. Days and hours of work are typically Monday thru Friday, 9am‑5pm, however hours may vary based on weekend service responsibilities and/or special events.
The church has several big events, (“All‑Skates”) throughout the year to help further the mission of Eleven22. These events are mandatory for all staff to be in attendance and may vary, depending on the vision cast for the current year.
Our entire staff family is called to action, so that we can continue to be a movement for all people to discover and deepen a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Work Environment This job operates in a professional office setting within a collaborative team environment, regularly using standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The role involves close interaction with students and active support of ministry events, which may occasionally require outdoor activities and travel between campuses. Flexibility is important, as the schedule can include evenings and weekends for special events.
Physical Demands This is a mostly sedentary role; however, some activity is required at times. This activity would require the ability to lift small boxes, up to 25 pounds, and transport them to multiple campuses, set up tables, stack and reposition chairs and stand for long periods of time, during special events. Some travel may be required.
Ministerial Exception The ministerial exception furthers the purposes of the Free Exercise and Establishment Clauses of the First Amendment by barring legal claims against church bodies by staff members who perform religious functions. All church pastors are subject to the exception, but a formal ministerial credential is not required. While there is no rigid formula to determine other church staff members that qualify, various factors are considered to determine which staff members are subject to the ministerial exception (please see handbook).
Staff members who qualify under the ministerial exception are not covered by federal and state employment and anti‑discrimination laws. Please see the Human Resources Ministry Team if you have questions on whether you are subject to the ministerial exception.
