The Role As an Outside Sales Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in our growth by delivering roofing and exterior improvement solutions to homeowners. You will conduct in-home inspections, assess customer needs, and deliver clear, persuasive presentations that help homeowners make confident decisions.
The ideal candidate is driven, self-motivated, and customer-focused. You must be comfortable working in residential environments and inspecting attic spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Follow up on company-provided leads, complete bids, and close sales.
Conduct multiple in-home roofing and exterior inspections daily.
Identify customer needs, provide tailored solutions, and guide homeowners through the consultation process.
Deliver dynamic, company-approved presentations to educate and inform customers.
Maintain a professional and organized appearance, including vehicle and sales materials.
Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and trade shows.
Ensure all required paperwork (contracts, financing documents, etc.) is completed accurately.
Adhere to company sales processes and best practices.
Qualifications Required
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and background check.
Comfortable working on roofs, climbing ladders, and accessing attic spaces.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Ability to present complex information in a clear, simple manner.
Comfort using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and iOS-based tools.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
Preferred
In-home sales or home improvement sales experience (roofing experience not required).
Initial Training
Comprehensive paid training program.
Four-week classroom training with additional field training.
Paid training session(s).
Must be comfortable with eight weeks of paid training, potentially in another town/city.
Schedule & Work Environment Flexible weekly schedule with evening and weekend appointments as needed. Primarily outside sales roles requiring travel to customer locations.
Compensation
Initial training pay.
Post-training uncapped commission structure (first-year earnings target: $150,000–$250,000).
Pre-set and pre-qualified leads provided by our call center and marketing team.
Performance-based bonus opportunities.
