Develop mechanical drawings to construct HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. Perform load calculations to determine system sizes. Ensure mechanical, plumbing, energy, and NFPA codes and specifications are implemented. Adhere to deadlines and work in a fast-paced consulting environment. Perform field visits to document and verify existing equipment and systems. Construction administration duties include answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, and resolving design/coordination issues with contractors. Coordinate mechanical systems and utility design with Electrical, Architectural, Civil, and Structural disciplines. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum Qualifications AS or BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school. 3+ years’ experience in HVAC or Plumbing & Fire Protection design. 1+ years of AutoCAD education, training, or related experience. Preferred Qualifications BS or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited school. 5+ years’ experience in HVAC or Plumbing & Fire Protection design. Benefits
