Job Summary
The best candidate will know how to create a great flow, quick pace, and well‑written newscast. We’re looking for a producer who knows the difference between stacking a show and creating a memorable newscast that meets our audience’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Gathering information and stories from team members, feeds, sister stations, and the network throughout the day.
- Collaborating with news management to select and prioritize content within rundowns.
- Adding stories and elements that will make the newscast more attractive for viewers.
Qualifications
- Some newscast‑producing experience, such as at a college level, is required.
- This is a great opportunity for a college student about to transition into their first full‑time journalism job with an opportunity for growth and advancement.
