We are partnering with this organization to identify a talented UI / UX Designer to join their innovative design team. This role is mobile-first in focus, centered on delivering intuitive, visually compelling, and user-centered digital experiences across their retail platforms.
The position is flexible in scope and level, open to candidates ranging from UI Designer through Senior UX Designer to Principal UX Designer, depending on experience. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams, contributing either through hands-on UI execution or by providing strategic UX leadership to shape large-scale digital experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design Execution & Craft
- Design high-quality, intuitive user interfaces with a strong emphasis on mobile-first experiences.
- Translate business and product requirements into effective UI/UX solutions.
- Work extensively with Figma, FigJam, and the organization’s design system (Sigma).
- Utilize Adobe Creative Suite tools (including Photoshop) when required.
- Apply best practices in visual design, interaction design, and accessibility standards.
- UX Thinking & Problem Solving
- Participate in early discovery and requirement-gathering sessions to define design strategies.
- Use insights from user research and usability testing to inform design decisions.
- Balance user needs with business objectives and technical constraints.
- Ensure designs are grounded in customer insights and retail best practices.
- Collaboration & Leadership (dependent on level)
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and cross-functional teams.
- For senior/principal candidates:
- Lead UX initiatives on complex, large-scale projects.
- Influence and shape overall design strategy and consistency across experiences.
- Mentor designers and help elevate UX maturity across teams.
- For mid-level candidates:
- Focus on strong execution while partnering with senior designers and leaders.
Requirements
- 2–5+ years of experience in UI and/or UX design, ideally within retail, eCommerce, or consumer-facing digital products.
- Strong proficiency with Figma and FigJam.
- Hands-on experience designing mobile applications with solid knowledge of:
- Google Material Design
- Familiarity with user research and usability testing methodologies.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
