Mechanical Estimator

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Estimator at Gatlin Plumbing & Heating, Inc., located in Griffith, IN. The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and related projects, by reviewing project proposals, blueprints, and specifications. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with project managers, vendors, and clients, evaluating materials and labor costs, and ensuring that estimates align with client budgets and industry standards.
Qualifications
Proficiency in blueprint reading, project planning, and mechanical system estimation Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cost analysis skills Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing systems, and other mechanical construction processes Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork capabilities Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines Previous experience as an estimator in a plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical services environment preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
