Sales & Use Tax Accountant - On-Site - Dallas (80k-85k)

LHH is working with a national facilities services company who is looking for a new Sales & Use Tax Accountant. In this role you will be responsible for multi-state sales and use tax compliance while also supporting broader tax and accounting operations. This is a hands-on role suited for a tax professional with strong sales tax experience who is comfortable assisting with day-to-day accounting activities as needed. Key Responsibilities

Prepare, review, and file sales and use tax returns in 40+ states Maintain sales tax codes and ensure accurate tax application across transactions Review invoices for proper sales and use tax treatment Research and resolve sales tax discrepancies and notices Support other tax functions as needed, including income tax-related work Coordinate with third-party providers for outsourced income tax return preparation Assist with operational accounting tasks such as data entry, check preparation, and general support Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance Qualifications

5–10 years of relevant tax and accounting experience Strong background in multi-state sales and use tax Willingness to support additional tax areas beyond sales tax Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Comfortable in a hands-on, operational environment Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
