
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Search team. The Search team focuses on helping members find the best doctors in their area. In this role, you’ll drive the UX behind our core user journey of searching for, evaluating, and visiting doctors, and own surfaces like search initiation, search results, doctor profile, and booking flows. In addition, you’ll own UX behind our AI chatbot and help pioneer how we develop AI features at Garner.
This role will be based in our New York City office. You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
What you will do
Own the UX of Garner’s search and chatbot experience, including initiating search, search results, doctor profiles, booking experiences, and chatbot workflows
Plan and conduct UX research to build a deep empathy with our members that informs strategic planning as well as the direction of projects within your area
Drive forward looking UX strategy and vision for the Search Area to help guide the team’s direction
Partner with product to shape strategy and scope for the area and within projects
Partner tightly with engineering to achieve perfection in delivery of new experiences
What you will bring to the team
8+ years of relevant experience shipping consumer-facing products, including mobile products on iOS and/or Android
Proven experience driving UX strategy and vision for a team, while also delivering elegant user experiences that build toward your broader vision
Mastery of conducting user research and leveraging your findings to impact strategy and product direction
A strong ownership mindset; you form strong opinions from ambiguity and enjoy debating diverse perspectives to achieve the best outcome
A highly refined aesthetic sense and a preference for simple and clean experiences; you design products that not only meet user needs, but are delightful and engaging
Excellent communication skills - you know how to tailor your communication style between product, design, engineering stakeholders to speak the language of who you’re talking to
A humble and user-focused approach to design; you are constantly challenging your own assumptions and crave feedback through research and metrics
The ability to deliver candid, constructive feedback to peers that helps them improve while building trust
A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the healthcare system

Compensation Transparency The target salary range for this position is $180,000 - $220,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
