Member Engagement & Growth Manager

and take ownership of how members experience, engage with, and grow within the Spear ecosystem. This is not a traditional marketing role. You’ll sit at the intersection of product, education, and customer experience—owning lifecycle strategies that educate members, build habits, increase retention, and convert free users into paid advocates. Your work will directly influence how dental professionals discover value, progress through learning pathways, and invest deeper in their professional growth. What You’ll Do

Own the member lifecycle from first touch to long-term loyalty Develop and manage lifecycle campaigns that drive onboarding, activation, engagement, re-engagement, and retention across all member segments. Create structured educational journeys that help members discover and fully utilize learning content, CE pathways, and key platform features. Identify behaviors that correlate with long-term success and build programs that encourage those habits early and often. Drive membership growth through upgrades and conversion Lead free-to-paid conversion strategy using behavior-driven journeys, value-based education, and targeted prompts. Build and optimize upsell and cross-sell campaigns that increase adoption of higher-tier plans and add-ons. Guide members to the next best action based on usage, intent signals, and lifecycle stage. Define and maintain segmentation models for free members, paid members, and priority sub-groups. Personalize messaging across email, in-product, and lifecycle channels to improve activation, conversion, and retention. Run structured experimentation and maintain a test-and-learn roadmap tied to clear KPIs and business outcomes. Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Success, Sales, Content, and Education teams to align messaging, upgrade motions, and success metrics. Support in-product engagement and upgrade experiences in coordination with Product teams. Create and maintain lifecycle playbooks, campaign calendars, and documentation to ensure consistent, scalable execution. Provide regular reporting, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership. ✅ What You Bring

Proven success driving engagement, retention, and conversion in a subscription or membership-based business. Strong experience building behavior-driven journeys, segmentation strategies, and lifecycle campaigns. Comfort partnering cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams. Data-informed mindset with experience using experimentation and performance insights to optimize outcomes. Excellent written communication skills and the ability to translate value into clear, compelling messaging. Experience in virtual learning, continuing education, or professional membership environments is strongly preferred. Be part of a collaborative, mission-driven team improving dental practices nationwide. Work in a hybrid environment—flexibility + in-person collaboration. Remote candidates may also be considered depending on location. Contribute to a growing, innovative company at the forefront of dental education. Compensation range is $100,000 – $132,000/year plus benefits.
