Description The CPG Sales and Project Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth while overseeing cross‑functional projects that support product launches, retail execution, and account success. This role bridges sales strategy and operational execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and customer expectations are met across key retail and distribution partners.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Account Management

Manage and grow key CPG accounts across retail, wholesale, and/or e‑commerce channels

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue, distribution, and margin targets

Own customer relationships, including buyer communication, forecasting, and promotional planning

Prepare and present sales decks, line reviews, pricing, and promotional proposals

Monitor sales performance, velocity, and inventory levels; recommend corrective actions

Project Management

Lead cross‑functional projects related to product launches, packaging updates, promotions, and retail resets

Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables; ensure on‑time execution

Coordinate with marketing, operations, supply chain, finance, and external partners

Track risks, dependencies, and resource needs across projects

Maintain project documentation and status reporting for leadership

Product & Launch Execution

Manage go‑to‑market plans for new products and line extensions

Ensure accurate setup of items (pricing, UPCs, case packs, specs) with internal teams and customers

Oversee retailer onboarding, item setup, and launch readiness

Collaborate with Marketing to align launch strategy, messaging, and execution across channels

Reporting & Analysis

Track KPIs including revenue, distribution, promo performance, and project timelines

Analyze sales data and customer insights to inform strategy and forecasts

Prepare regular performance reports for internal stakeholders

Requirements Required

3–6+ years of experience in CPG sales, account management, and project management

Experience working with retailers, distributors, and e‑commerce platforms

Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously

Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy

Tech‑savvy with proficiency in the Google Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM or project management tools

Must be able to work a varying shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

Experience in food, beverage, beauty, or wellness CPG categories

Familiarity with retail portals (e.g., SPINS, Nielsen, IRI, Vendor Central, Retail Link)

Experience managing product launches or retail resets

PMP or other project management certification a plus

Environmental And/Or Physical Requirements

Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs; Ability to stand and/or sit for prolonged periods of time

Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, climb stairs and steps, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
