Braintree, Massachusetts Reports to SLR’s Marketing Manager. This person assists with the digital communications activities of SLR and its managed senior living communities, including the website, blog, email marketing, social media, analytics, and video production.

An integral member of the marketing team, this role should keep abreast of trends and implement compelling digital communications initiatives. This role effectively coordinates and supports all other areas of the marketing team’s goals.

Candidates will be strong writers and proofreaders, and quick learners.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? Website / Blog

Ensure website content is accurate and up-to-date

Publish, edit, and update website and blog pages as required

Ensure quality content by copyediting, proofreading, ensuring consistent style and brand

Maintain SLR Community event listings on their respective microsites

Implement and maintain appropriate SEO tactics to increase traffic

Use Google analytics to report on site use and optimization

Online Reputation/Social Media

Ensure all online directory listings are accurate and up-to-date

Maintain an editorial calendar for social media

Keep up to date on all platforms and industry trends

Create and implement strategies to enhance engagement on social media platforms

Monitor compliance to posting procedures, responsiveness to comments and opportunities for engagement

Monitor content feeds for affiliates, partners and other social media influencers looking for opportunities to share, respond to content and other opportunities for collaboration

Work with Community Programming Directors on optimizing and enhancing Facebook content

Media Buying

Assist with digital advertising and search campaigns as assigned. Including vendor management, metrics and reporting, creative management

Manage Advertising & Sponsorship invoices, ensuring they adhere to budget guidelines and are processed in a timely fashion

Video Content & Editing

Take photographs and video at special programs and events for use in multimedia projects (presentations, slideshows, video, website/blog, social media)

Maintain well-organized photo and video archive

Edit and produce video content for a variety of uses including ad campaigns, public relations and events

Email Marketing

Coordinate, edit, build, and distribute outbound email campaigns to support SLR communities and SLR initiatives, including monthly newsletters, surveys, event promotion and invitation, and program updates

Help to create and implement strategies to increase subscribers and engagement

Conduct routine maintenance and cleanup of email list; communicate with communities in order to maintain lists appropriately

Analyze trends in email communications and report back to SLR Marketing and Community Sales Teams

Other

Assist with Home Office meetings and trainings as assigned - may include travel, A/V set up, notetaking

Bring new ideas for design and content to the team

Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports of website and digital communication statistics to relevant staff

Proofreading advertising, reports, blog posts, special events flyers and other content

Assist with the preparation and review of Sales & Marketing reports as assigned

Assist with the development and preparation of any marketing materials, reports, presentations or training materials as requested

Assist the Marketing Manager and Directors of Community Relations with promotion of marketing events as required

Assist at marketing events needed

Additional duties as assigned

Pay & Benefits Annual salary starting at $50K.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications or Marketing or related field

Exceptional written communication skills with superior grammar and spelling

The ability to produce compelling and concise copy for online media

Proficient with technology, esp. Google Apps, publishing tools

Basic knowledge of SEO

In-depth knowledge and technical understanding of social media platforms

Working experience with Google Analytics, Google Adwords preferred

Experience with email marketing service preferred

Photography and intermediate-level video production/editing skills preferred

Strong team player with a friendly and engaging style and the ability to interface at all levels in cooperation with a wide range of people, including Home Office and community staff, representatives from the media and the greater community

Organized self-starter able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Ability to work some flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends
