Branch Customer Relations Associate

Gail Borden Public Library is seeking a dedicated Branch Customer Relations Associate to join our versatile, cross-trained team! The successful individual in this position will be a reliable, motivated, and energetic team player. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth operation of our branches and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. You will serve as Person in Charge and handle problem situations in the manager’s absence. In this role you will: Provide readers’ advisory and reference assistance to children, teens, and adults. Perform circulation services, including check-in/check-out of materials and placing holds on materials. Perform library card registration and program registration. Assist customers with computer applications, printing, self-check, DVD dispenser, laptop dispenser, eReaders, and other mobile devices. Assist with supervising, training, and coordinating the activities of support staff. Serve as Person in Charge (PIC) in the absence of Managers. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Previous library and customer service experience preferred. Knowledge and experience with basic computer applications and mobile devices. Bilingual English/Spanish language skills a plus. Must have reliable transportation to be able to work at the South Elgin Branch and Rakow Branch. How to Apply
