We are seeking a Brand Manager who will own brand strategy and execution across Craft Kings, Locals Only, and future QCC-developed brands. This role blends strategic brand leadership with hands‑on field marketing, retail execution, and team building. The ideal candidate is equal parts brand architect, operator, and people leader, along with someone who understands how brands show up in‑store, in‑market, and in culture.
This role will also be responsible for building, hiring, and managing a Brand Ambassador (BA) team to ensure consistent brand representation and measurable impact across key retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management
Own brand positioning, messaging, and identity across Craft Kings, Locals Only, and future QCC brands. Develop and execute go‑to‑market strategies for new product launches, relaunches, and line extensions. Ensure brand differentiation and consistency across packaging, retail execution, digital channels, and field activations. Act as the internal brand authority and steward, aligning sales, marketing, creative, and leadership around clear brand priorities. Go‑To‑Market & Launch Execution
Lead end‑to‑end launch planning and execution, including: Product positioning and pricing strategy Packaging development and refreshes Retail sell‑in materials and selling platforms Distribution and launch sequencing Partner closely with sales to support sell‑through, account prioritization, and retail readiness. Leverage data platforms to evaluate pricing, identify whitespace opportunities, and optimize performance by account and region. Field Marketing & Retail Activation
Design and execute in‑store marketing programs, including displays, promotions, staff education, and sampling initiatives (where permitted). Develop retail‑specific strategies that drive velocity, brand awareness, and repeat purchase. Ensure strong execution and brand standards across all retail touchpoints. Build, hire, train, and manage a high‑performing Brand Ambassador team. Define BA roles, responsibilities, schedules, and KPIs tied to retail impact and brand objectives. Develop training materials and brand education to ensure ambassadors are confident product experts. Oversee field reporting, feedback loops, and continuous improvement of the program. Marketing, Digital & Social
Develop and manage social media strategy aligned with brand voice and compliance requirements. Collaborate with internal or external partners to improve brand visibility, discoverability, and SEO performance. Support content creation that reflects brand values, product quality, and consumer lifestyle alignment. Performance, Insights & Optimization
Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics across launches, campaigns, and field marketing efforts. Gather and synthesize retailer, consumer, and ambassador feedback to inform product, messaging, and execution improvements. Manage brand budgets, forecast spend, and evaluate ROI across initiatives. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions. Cross‑Functional Leadership
Collaborate closely with sales, cultivation partners, creative, legal/compliance, and operations teams. Serve as the connective tissue between brand vision and real‑world execution. Ensure all brand initiatives align with regulatory requirements and company standards. Qualifications & Skills
3–6+ years of experience in brand management, field marketing, or consumer marketing (cannabis, CPG, beverage, or lifestyle brands preferred). Proven experience launching or growing brands in a regulated or highly competitive market. Strong understanding of retail environments and field marketing execution. Experience building and managing ambassador or street teams strongly preferred. Data‑driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into action. Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel locally and spend time in the field. Must thrive in and handle ambiguity & fast‑paced environment Ability to build and deliver against strict timelines Strategic thinking and problem‑solving capabilities Analytic and creative thinking skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass the NJ CRC Background Check for an agent card.
