This role sits at the intersection of strategy, creativity, media, and culture, shaping not only the work itself but how the work is conceived, built, and scaled across the firm.As SVP, you are a senior architect of Edelman’s integrated communications approach. You set the strategic standard for Connections Strategy across a portfolio of marquee clients, guide senior teams through complexity, and help ensure Edelman’s creative ambition is matched by cultural relevance, platform fluency, and performance rigor.We know what you might be thinking. As Senior Vice President, you will play a critical role in shaping how earned first thinking lives across the full communications ecosystem and how Edelman continues to evolve its model for the future.You bring deep strategic judgment, cultural fluency, and executive presence. You are trusted to define direction, make high stakes decisions, and influence senior leaders inside and outside the firm. You operate less as a hands on strategist and more as a force multiplier, elevating the quality, consistency, and ambition of Connections Strategy across teams and markets.Your leadership spans several critical dimensions of the Connections craft.* **Craft Leadership and Strategic Definition.** Define and evolve Edelman’s Connections Strategy craft. Author and institutionalize frameworks, tools, and ways of working that guide how audiences, channels, content, and platforms connect to creative ideas. Set the strategic bar for integrated communications and ensure it is consistently applied across work.* **Portfolio and Client Stewardship.** Provide strategic oversight across a portfolio of high profile accounts. Partner with senior client leaders to shape long term communication platforms, brand worlds, and integrated ecosystems. Step in at moments that require senior judgment, reinvention, or alignment across disciplines.* **Integrated Communications Vision.** Establish the overarching communications vision for complex engagements, ensuring creative, media, influencer, and experience strategies work as a unified system. Identify where cultural relevance and business impact intersect, and guide teams toward ideas that can earn attention at scale.* **Leadership Multiplication and Talent Development.** Build and develop senior Connections Strategy leaders. Coach Vice Presidents and Directors, set expectations for strategic excellence, and identify next generation leaders. Influence hiring, promotion, and team structures to strengthen the craft over time.* **Firm Growth and External Impact.** Contribute to Edelman’s growth by shaping strategic thinking for new business, strengthening senior client relationships, and elevating the firm’s reputation in integrated strategy. Represent Edelman’s point of view internally and externally, helping define how the firm shows up in the market.## In this role, you will* Provide executive strategic oversight and leadership on key marquee accounts, helping clients architect connected campaigns and brand worlds that live across paid, owned, earned, and influencer channels* Partner with senior creative, brand strategy, production, and media leaders to ensure ideas scale effectively through culture, community, and commerce* Drive thought leadership in integrated communications, elevating Edelman’s Connections craft through new tools, methodologies, and frameworks* Oversee and mentor teams across multiple workstreams, fostering growth and excellence in Connections Strategy talent* Translate data and behavioral insights into actionable creative and media recommendations* Lead learning agendas, measurement strategies, and optimization frameworks that demonstrate business impact* Collaborate across Edelman’s global network, sharing best practices and contributing to the evolution of the firm’s integrated planning approach## Qualifications* Minimum of **ten** years of experience in communications or connections strategy, with a track record of leading complex, multi channel campaigns* Deep experience working with large global brands across sectors, including leadership of marquee, high visibility accounts* Expert understanding of content ecosystems, channel planning, and audience behavior* Proven success managing interdisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders* Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills* Strong familiarity with paid media, analytics, and content performance optimizationAt Edelman, the Senior Vice President, Director of Connections Strategy plays a defining role in shaping how ideas connect with people, platforms, and culture. This role is central to building the future of integrated communications and ensuring Edelman continues to lead at the intersection of creativity, trust, and impact.#LI-KW1$150,000-$230,000 per yearAn employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH’s total compensation package for employees.
