Job Description Overview
Support the Social Media and Customer Marketing teams with fast, high-quality, short-form, social-first video Focus exclusively on short-form video editing and production; no long-form video ownership Deliver polished, on-brand video assets with quick turnaround for campaigns, events, leadership content, and always-on social moments Key Responsibilities
Craft scroll-stopping visual and motion content that builds brand love, and sparks conversation and connection on social Create compelling visual content across our organic social channels, including static posts, carousels, and stories Bring a creator's mindset: experiment with new formats, trends, and visual approaches and know when to move quickly on something that's peaking. Edit and produce short-form video content for social and customer marketing Refine static, video, and motion graphics to optimize impact and shareability across online platforms Create video cutdowns from existing footage from events, customer interviews, demos, leadership content, and product walkthroughs Add captions, titles, motion graphics, and light animation to improve clarity and engagement Optimize videos for platform-native formats and aspect ratios, including 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 Develop and maintain reusable short-form video templates to improve speed and consistency Turn briefs, timestamps, and rough cuts into social-ready video assets Support rapid-turn requests, including same-day or next-day needs Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines Partner closely with Social Media, Customer Marketing, and Creative and Brand teams to ensure brand alignment Above all, be committed to Slack's mission of making people's working lives more simple, pleasant, and productive. Qualifications
4 to 8 years of experience in video editing and motion design Strong portfolio of short-form, social-first video work Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva, Figma, or similar tools Deep understanding of short-form video best practices, including hooks, pacing, captions, and platform-native storytelling Strong command of AI driven creative tools with an AI first approach Ability to work independently with minimal direction and incorporate feedback quickly Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional partners and agencies Experience working within established brand systems Nice to Have
Experience supporting B2B, SaaS, or tech brands Experience with developing and executing conceptual ideas with or without a brief Familiarity with customer marketing and event-driven social content Experience building scalable short-form video templates Comfort working in fast-paced, Slack-based environments Reporting and Collaboration
Report directly to Creative Director for Advertising and Campaigns Dotted-line reporting into the Social Media Strategy team
