Vaco is hiring a
Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations .
Location: Miramar, FL
Compensation: $150-$180k annually BOE
The Senior Director of Pharmacy Operations is a key leader responsible for ensuring that the company delivers high-quality, patient-centered home infusion therapy services including specialty drugs, maintains regulatory compliance, ensures accreditation requirements, and achieves financial performance targets.
Responsibilities
Operational Oversight:
Oversee daily operations, including pharmacy, TPN, specialty drugs, procurement, intake, and delivery services to ensure efficient workflows and quality service.
Financial Management:
Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, drug contracting strategies based on CMS and commercial fee schedules, and implement cost control measures to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including those set by the FDA, CMS, and accreditation bodies.
Quality Assurance:
Lead quality improvement initiatives, monitor patient satisfaction, and drive clinical excellence in all aspects of home infusion therapy.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing pharmacy team; cultivate a positive organizational culture that supports employee engagement and professional growth.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as a primary spokesperson for the pharmacy, communicating with the Executive Team, Health Plan partners and key stakeholders.
Education & Licensure
Must hold an RPh degree or higher
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in home infusion, specialty pharmacy, or a related healthcare service sector.
Hospital Infusion Pharmacy Experience
Prior experience in understanding Part B fee schedules, Drug prior authorization, and knowledge of drug contracting strategies.
Strong knowledge of home infusion therapy, specialty drug management, site of care management, clinical best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing industry trends.
