Adaptive Pediatrics is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Clinical Director (BCBA) to lead clinical operations at our Statesville, North Carolina location. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services while providing strong clinical leadership to BCBAs and RBTs. During the initial phase of the role, the Clinical Director will maintain a reduced caseload while supporting clinic growth, team development, and clinical consistency. The Clinical Director reports directly to the Regional Clinical Director and plays a critical role in executing Adaptive Pediatrics’ clinical standards and values. Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Oversight Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and performance feedback to BCBAs and RBTs Review treatment plans, behavior protocols, and data collection systems for quality and consistency Support complex clinical cases and provide guidance on treatment modifications Promote a culture of ethical practice, clinical excellence, and family-centered care Direct Clinical Services (Interim)

Carry a limited caseload during the interim or growth phase Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and oversee implementation of ABA programs Provide parent training and caregiver collaboration as clinically indicated Model best-practice clinical care for the team Staff Development & Supervision

Supervise BCBAs and fulfill BACB supervision requirements as applicable Support onboarding, training, and competency development for new clinical staff Assist with hiring decisions and clinical interviews in collaboration with leadership Address clinical performance concerns and contribute to corrective action plans when needed Operations & Collaboration

Partner with the Regional Clinical Director to implement regional clinical initiatives Support scheduling, authorization utilization, and continuity of care Collaborate with intake, billing, and operations teams to ensure smooth service delivery Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives Family & Community Engagement

Maintain strong relationships with families, caregivers, and referral sources Ensure responsive communication and high satisfaction for families served Represent Adaptive Pediatrics professionally within the local community Qualifications

Required

Active or eligible for licensure in North Carolina Minimum of 3–5 years of ABA clinical experience Prior experience supervising RBTs and/or BCBAs Strong knowledge of ABA best practices, ethics, and payer requirements Preferred

Prior experience in a Clinical Director or Lead BCBA role Experience supporting clinic growth or startup locations Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Clinical judgment and ethical decision-making Leadership and team development Effective communication with staff and families Ability to balance clinical care with leadership responsibilities Adaptability in a growing and evolving clinical environment What We Offer

Lead and supervise the clinical team to deliver exceptional behavioral therapy services tailored to each individual’s needs. Oversee intake processes, including patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning to ensure comprehensive care delivery. Ensure accurate data collection, medical documentation, and maintenance of medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and best practices. Conduct regular patient evaluations, progress reviews, and treatment adjustments to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Manage clinical operations including staff scheduling, training, and ongoing professional development initiatives. Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to behavioral health services. Foster a positive, patient-centered environment that emphasizes compassionate care, patient safety, and confidentiality. Requirements

Must hold an active BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) license with eligibility to practice in North Carolina. Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder. Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA), behavioral therapy techniques, and data collection methods. Experience with medical terminology, medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake procedures effectively. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide clinical staff toward shared goals. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with families, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
