OrthoSouth - Orthopedic Care
Will oversee the daily operations in the Accounting department. Reports to the CFO and works at the central business office for the practice.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct supervision of 2-3 employees, including performance evaluations.
Recruit, train, and retain staff as needed.
Responsible for the integrity of all financial statements, including balance sheet and income statement.
Provide timely financial statements consistent with monthly/quarterly/year-end timelines.
Work closely with operational leadership to provide financial statement variance analysis.
Participate in monthly financial statement review meetings.
Assist in the preparation of financial analysis of strategic initiatives.
Assist with completion of the annual budget and benchmark reporting data.
Maintain / improve internal controls including oversight of account reconciliations and cash management.
Oversee capital asset projects, ensuring project cost projections are achieved.
Identifies and implements department efficiencies.
Collaborates with external accounting firm to ensure timely filing of various local / state / Federal returns.
Various projects as assigned.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, laws and regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize work
Intermediate/Advance Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with accounting software
DESIRED COMPETENCIES Proficient in Quick Books
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5+ years proven work experience in the accounting field
Supervisory experience
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
