Generation W is a nonprofit service organization focused on educating, inspiring, and connecting women and girls. It is dedicated to building community, bringing people together, and advancing and enhancing their lives. Generation W has developed and executed several programs: Generation W, Generation WOW, Generation WORKS, and WOWsdom! We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Strategic Partnerships to lead our efforts in driving the organization’s revenue streams through sponsorships, individual giving, corporate partnerships, donor engagement, and fundraising campaigns. This person will play a strategic and hands-on role in building relationships, expanding fundraising channels, and amplifying the organization’s brand and mission. This role will oversee the development and execution of revenue strategies, working closely with clients, partners, and internal teams to ensure the growth and success of revenue programs. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker, a skilled negotiator, and passionate about creating meaningful connections through brand collaborations. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary focus of this role is to secure sponsorships, grants, and donations while creating fundraising opportunities to support the organization\'s activities. Below are the major duties and responsibilities associated with this position: Strategic Revenue Planning: Establish annual revenue budgets, identify the revenue drivers such as sponsorships, grants, fundraisers, and other innovative fundraising methods that will be used to achieve the targeted revenue goals. Develop and implement comprehensive revenue strategies to enhance fundraising efforts. Funding Opportunities & Outreach: Identify and secure new funding opportunities from corporate, foundation, and individual donors. Proactively research and target potential partners across various sectors. Relationship Management & Stewardship: Create and execute a sales pipeline for sponsor renewals, lapsed partners, interested partners, and new targets to meet or exceed sales goals. Act as the primary contact for partners, fostering relationships through regular communication, updates, and engagement opportunities. Provide consistent, high-touch service to enhance sponsor satisfaction and retention. Engagement & Stewardship: Lead the development and execution of an engagement strategy that deepens relationships with donors, sponsors, and supporters across all giving levels. Attend events and represent the organization, deepening its roots in the community. Activation Design: Collaborate with marketing and event teams to conceptualize and execute high-impact partner activations, including digital campaigns, branded content, onsite integrations, and audience engagement strategies that drive visibility and value. Contract Development & Compliance: Lead contract negotiations to create mutually beneficial outcomes. Monitor contractual deliverables, brand usage guidelines, and timelines to ensure accurate and timely execution of partner benefits. Campaign Performance & Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for all sponsorships. Leverage analytics tools to track engagement, conversions, and ROI. Deliver insights through customized reports and presentations to internal stakeholders and partners. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Partner with teams across Marketing, Events, and Business Development to align sponsorships with broader campaigns. Serve as a connector between internal departments and external partners. Innovation & Market Trends: Stay informed about industry best practices, evolving brand partnership models, and consumer behavior trends. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities to identify new partnership potential. Team Participation: Be a proactive contributor to whatever tasks require support and execution in the flow of the business, including Generation W, WOW, WORKS, and WOWsdom. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and significant experience in community engagement and development work. 5+ years of experience in sponsorship management, brand partnerships, or engagement strategy. Proven success in securing and managing high-level sponsorships, with a strong portfolio of past partnerships. Strong negotiation, written and oral communication, and presentation skills. Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment. Experience with analytics tools and the ability to measure sponsorship ROI. Strong organization skills and attention to detail in all work products. Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative partnership solutions. Knowledge of current digital trends and consumer engagement strategies. Ability to think and act independently with good judgment and minimal supervision, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt easily to change. Intellectual curiosity and desire to engage in ongoing, lifelong learning. Must demonstrate integrity and excellent professional judgment. Service-oriented approach A valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle. Local and some long-distance travel required.
