Location This position can be based in any of the following office locations: Lenexa, KS; Lone Tree, CO; Houston, TX; Raleigh, NC; Phoenix/Tempe, AZ; New York City, NY; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ. For roles in Chattanooga, TN; Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in‑office arrangement once the new office is established.
Responsibilities
Assist with 2D and 3D modeling, ensuring reference files are attached and the model reference directory is up to date.
Coordinate project progression updates through the Project Database and report issues to the Lead Designer as required.
Review designs for consistency, safety, operability, and maintenance requirements before submitting to checking.
Create guidelines, checklists, or other knowledge‑base documents as assigned.
Collaborate with team members on design and drafting techniques to challenge abilities and provide constructive feedback for employee development.
Support design work across various disciplines and subsidiary groups to meet business needs.
Assist in completing as‑builts by utilizing RFIs, ECNs, and red‑marked construction drawings to create “Conformed to Construction Records” as required.
Participate in project and layout meetings; coordinate and assist project team members.
Qualifications
Diploma in drafting technology and 3–5+ years of civil design experience or a combination of education and experience.
Proficient in a Computer‑Aided Drafting program such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D; background in AutoCAD, MicroStation, GeoPak, InRoads, Navis Works, or Google Earth is a plus.
Basic knowledge of modern computer operating systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
Effective communication through emails and electronic meeting requests.
Preferred experience with solar PV layouts.
Working Conditions
Regular, reliable attendance.
Work productively and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others in a team environment.
Perform work safely and follow written instructions, warning signs, equipment use, and policies.
Work normal operating hours and organize work within deadlines; overtime and weekends as required.

Compensation Base Compensation: $73,000/yr – $76,000/yr (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
