Overview The constraints of this position involve managing HR across multiple facilities and states, with ongoing change management and support in Houston. The workforce is distributed across 3 facilities (2 Production, 1 Office) in three states (NJ, Houston, NC) and employees in 22 additional states. Responsibilities

Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization\'s human resource function and performance.

Participate in the development of the corporation\'s plans and programs as a strategic partner, focusing on impact on people.

Translate strategic and tactical business plans into HR strategic and operational plans.

Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory actions as they affect attraction, motivation, development and retention of people resources.

Develop staffing strategies and implementation plans to identify talent within and outside the corporation; identify external candidate sources for all levels; develop progressive compensation and benefits programs to motivate and reward performance.

Diversity and Inclusion: Develop programs to enable TEMUSA to embrace applicants and employees of all backgrounds and to support full development and performance of all employees.

Salary & Benefits: Continually assess competitiveness of programs and practices against relevant companies, industries and markets.

Communications: Establish credibility with management and employees to listen and solve people issues.

Federal & State Laws: Implement programs for employee relations, affirmative action, diversity, harassment, employee complaints, external education and career development.

Maintain knowledge of international HR policies, programs, laws and issues; coordinate integration of domestic and international policies.

Provide technical advice within the human resources discipline.

Manage other areas such as Payroll, Receptionists, Fleet Management, relocation, Immigrations, employee communication, community relations, supplies, and College Recruiting/Relations.

Qualifications

15+ years of broad-based HR experience, with at least 5 years in a management role.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office; superior oral and written communication; process orientation.

Detail oriented, logical, and methodical problem-solving; ability to lead and plan work, and to build effective relationships across departments.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

Role specifics

The Human Resources Director is responsible for directing all people functions of TEMUSA, in alignment with corporate policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Responsible for strategic human resource planning to position the company as the Employer of Choice by understanding industry policies, practices and trends.

Manages a team (e.g., Talent Developer, Payroll Specialist, HR Coordinator) and supports a staff of approximately 150 employees.

CODIR Member; supports multiple business lines (LubMarine, Aviation, Lubricants, Metal Rolling, MS field) and manages fleet of 48 vehicles; acts as American Express Corporate Card Administrator.
