The Tax Director is responsible for leading all tax-related matters for the investment services company, including corporate, fund, and investor tax compliance and planning.
Develop and execute tax strategies aligned with the company’s investment, operational, and growth objectives
Evaluate tax implications of new products, fund structures, transactions, and investments
Advise senior management on tax risks, opportunities, and regulatory developments
Compliance & Reporting
Oversee preparation and review of all federal, state, local, and international tax filings
Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance for management companies, funds, and related entities
Manage investor tax reporting (e.g., K-1s, withholding, FATCA/CRS where applicable)
Oversee tax provisions and disclosures in financial statements
Provide tax guidance on fund structuring, launches, liquidations, and restructurings
Review partnership allocations, waterfalls, and carried interest tax considerations
Support transaction tax analysis for acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganizations
Education & Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
CPA (strongly preferred)
Partnership and trust/estate preferred
Experience
10+ years of progressive tax experience, including leadership roles
Strong background in investment management, financial services, or funds
