Scout Out
Scout Out builds AI-powered estimating and proposal software for residential contractors. We help general contractors and remodelers turn plans into accurate estimates, clean scopes, and professional proposals — faster and more consistently than existing tools.
We’re looking for a Founding GTM Lead to own early revenue and help define how Scout Out sells to residential contractors. This is a hands-on role where you’ll run deals end-to-end while shaping messaging, pricing, and outbound strategy from day one.
This is not a “maintain the playbook” role; you’ll be helping build it.
What you’ll do
Own the full sales cycle: outbound → discovery → demo → close Sell directly to residential general contractors and remodelers Stand up Scout Out’s outbound motion: ICP definition, sequences, talk tracks Rapidly test messaging and channels and turn what works into repeatable systems Work closely with the founder and product to relay contractor feedback Help define pricing, packaging, and when/how we move upmarket Lay the foundation for a future sales team and GTM playbook About you
1–3 years of full-cycle B2B sales or GTM experience Comfortable selling to SMBs and non-technical buyers High activity tolerance and strong follow-through Strong communicator who can handle objections and keep conversations practical Excited by ambiguity and early-stage ownership
