We are seeking an experienced
Director of Accounting & Finance
to lead the financial operations of a growing healthcare organization. This role will oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance while partnering closely with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making. The position is based in Massachusetts but offers the flexibility of remote work within Massachusetts. Responsibilities
Lead and manage all accounting and finance functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end and year-end close Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning; provide variance analysis and actionable insights Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial controls to support organizational growth and stability Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, financial modelling, and business planning Ensure compliance with federal, state (including Massachusetts), and healthcare industry regulations Oversee external audits, tax filings, and relationships with auditors, banks, and advisors Develop, mentor, and lead a high-performing accounting and finance team Continuously improve financial processes, systems, and internal controls, including ERP and reporting tools Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred) Prior experience in healthcare, life sciences, or a highly regulated industry strongly preferred Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls Experience managing audits, budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial operations Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders Experience leading and developing teams in a remote or hybrid environment is a plus For more information please apply ASAP!
