Director of Supply Chain – Satellite Manufacturing (NewSpace)

Our client, an innovative satellite manufacturing and platform developer, is seeking a
Director of Supply Chain
to build, lead, and optimize their end-to-end supply chain as they scale from low-rate to high-rate production.
What You’ll Do:
Own and lead the end-to-end supply chain function, including sourcing, procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory.
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with production ramp‑up and long‑term growth.
Build and manage supplier relationships, including qualification, performance management, and risk mitigation.
Drive cost reduction, lead‑time improvement, and supply continuity across critical components and subsystems.
Partner closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and finance to support program execution.
Implement scalable MRP/ERP processes, forecasting models, and KPI‑driven performance tracking.
Manage and develop a growing supply chain and procurement team.
Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks in a space‑qualified hardware environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven leadership experience in supply chain or operations within aerospace, space, or complex hardware manufacturing.
Strong understanding of low‑volume, high‑complexity production environments.
Experience scaling supply chains for growth‑stage or startup companies.
Track record of supplier negotiation and cost control.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
