Tide Rock is seeking a highly motivated and strategic
Deal Origination Director
to join our fast-growing, dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for outbound deal origination and business development activities to create and cultivate relationships with business owners and deal flow channel partners (bankers, brokers, advisors, etc) that align with Tide Rock ’ s investment objectives. Your ability to create deal flow and shepherd relationships from introductions through deal closings will be instrumental in driving Tide Rock’s success. The ideal candidate is a super connector with a track record of success generating consistent, high volume, high quality opportunities in an investment, M&A, corporate development, or complex B2B sales environment. The candidate should have strong EQ and excel at developing affiliation between diverse personalities, backgrounds, areas of expertise and themselves. The candidate should also have strong organizational skills and a bias for action. DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with deal team to maximize deal flow and achieve acquisition targets Leverage Tide Rock’s AI tools to build target lists consistent with investment theses Execute daily outreach to potential acquisition targets via cold/warm-calling, cold/warm-email, LinkedIn, tradeshows and networking events, etc. Establish and maintain strong relationships with current and potential future acquisitions Help screen and qualify inbound leads Facilitate “top-to-top” connections between attractive targets and productive deal flow channels and senior investment professional and executives at Tide Rock Travel to trade shows, target company site visits, and relevant industry and networking events Be an ambassador and brand builder for Tide Rock in the market Accurately track and maintain business development activities, connections created, deals originated, and related trends through Salesforce Success will be determined by the quantity and quality of opportunities generated for our Corporate Development team in your assigned geography and industry SKILLS + EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 5+ years’ of experience in sales/business development with Familiarity with M&A Proven track record of managing/maintaining high volume sales cycles and achieving sales targets Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce Proficiency in advanced Sales technologies such as “SalesLoft” and other structured outreach tools Proficiency in leveraging AI tools Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted relationships across a variety of age and demographic groups Excellent attention to detail and fact-finding ability EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in finance, business, marketing, or a related field
