Our Business Development team focuses on expanding our client base in the Consumer Packaged Goods sector. This role joins a successful team serving as an integral part of Mintel's business and offers the opportunity to partner with key players in the industry to sell our entire suite of research solutions. The role requires a hungry and motivated salesperson with at least three years of experience in consultative solutions-based selling.
As a trusted partner, you will deliver return on investment, achieve sales targets, and negotiate contracts with highly valued clients. This is a hybrid position based in Chicago.
Responsibilities
Creating a consultative strategy to target new clients within the CPG (beauty, food & beverage, home & personal care) space
Identifying and prospecting key decision makers within marketing and research divisions to understand their specific consumer insights needs
Delivering exceptional sales results against net-new revenue targets on a quarterly basis
Traveling to clients for face‑to‑face meetings in addition to holding Zoom conversations, discussing the benefits and impact Mintel’s data can bring to their business
Qualifications
Hunters: metrics‑driven sales individual with a proven track record of success. Excellent closing and prospecting skills and comfortable making cold and warm introductions over the phone, in‑person and via email.
Achievers: strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, selling solutions to the C‑suite. Practical and technical sales and customer service experience.
Commercially‑Minded: initiate sales meetings, identify opportunities, pitch our suite of products, and network at a high level to ensure executive engagement.

Salary & Benefits Base Salary: $68,000 USD – $85,000 USD (at time of posting). Salary determined by skills, experience, and qualifications.
