Job Description
We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Washington D.C., as our new Business Travel Sales Manager. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, the Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for handling all aspects of Sales for individual transient sales efforts with the goal of achievement of budget in assigned Transient segments and fair share of Transient market as measured against the competitive set. He/she will be responsible for developing and maintaining a customer base for this market.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategies and tactics to establish the presence and enhancement of the image of Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown & Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in all Individual Travel market segments.
Research, identify, target and solidify relationships with new and existing Corporate, Consortia, Travel Agency, Tour & FIT/Wholesale accounts.
Champion Accor’s HERA and Accor Preferred travel agency programs within the Hotel and to clients.
Champion Fairmont/Raffles business travel initiatives by partnering with Accor’s Global Sales Organization.
Meet and exceed monthly revenue and sales activity goals by conducting weekly sales calls, site inspections and client entertainment to existing local and national accounts while prospecting for new business.
Develop existing accounts and conduct quarterly reviews with Travel Managers to ensure accounts are on pace to meet targeted goals.
Prepare weekly reports highlighting market trends, account development and new prospects for presentation at the Hotel’s RevPRO meeting.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly presentations summarizing market production and detailing sales initiatives and results.
Pursue opportunities in untapped Corporate Markets for Individual transient sales efforts –including Corporate, Consortia, Travel Agencies, FIT/Wholesale market segment focus.
Handle account details so that all pertinent aspects of solicitation and closing are completed and documented.
Regular travel to conduct outside calls and promote the hotel.
Increase brand awareness through promoting ALL – Accor Live Limitless.
Prepare monthly Hotelligence Reports with market analysis.
Develop and execute measurable targeted action plans for account penetration and growth.
Assist with annual RFP negotiations and annual contract renewals.

Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Delphi and Excel
Working knowledge of Hotelligence 360 Reports
Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, self‑motivated and organized
Excellent communication skills required
Minimum two years of Corporate Sales Management experience in a luxury hotel of similar size and quality
Knowledge of Corporate, Consortia, FIT/Wholesale markets
Four‑year degree in Sales or related field, preferred
Excellent presentation skills
