Responsibilities

Demonstrate Leadership by scheduling all positions for each broadcast (i.e. Board Op, Color, Play-by-Play, Social Media) and ensuring all team members are accurately assigned to upcoming broadcasts.

Demonstrate Teamwork with Public Relations Director and Content Marketing Director so social media and web content reach the target demographic.

Demonstrate Team work with Sports Production Director to ensure on-air content is sports-related and fits the demographic.

Demonstrate an understanding of professional ethical principles to ensure all broadcast content is prepared for board-ops, co-hosts and hosts for the next broadcast game.

Apply professionalism by ensuring all equipment for sports broadcasts are accounted for and in working order before and after broadcasts.

Develop professional job skills by attending any staff leadership and job skill enhancement training.

Demonstrate professionalism by attending staff meetings and performing functions as deemed appropriate by the Operations Manager or Program Director.

Utilize teamwork and leadership to train and mentor staff and volunteers.

Apply current tools and technologies to assist with station remotes and events.

Adhere to all Policy and Procedures; report any violations to the GM and OM.

Qualifications

Required:

Must be a University of West Georgia student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.

Must have and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Must have a valid Driver's License.

All students must have completed one or more of the following courses:

In house WIT Training Course

COMM 3351-Radio Program Production

COMM-3352 Fundamentals of Television Production

COMM-3353 Fundamentals of Film & Video Production

COMM 4421-Radio Practicum

COMM 4485 – Sports Communication

COMM-3354 Digital social media & Society

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Frequently moves Audio/Visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various classrooms and events.

Preferred Qualifications

Skilled with Adobe Audition.
