The Global & National Security Policy Institute (GNSPI) brings together global and national security-related courses, research, and programs at the University of New Mexico in a coherent whole under one umbrella to serve the entire institutionstudents and facultyacross its several campuses. The GNSPI mission is to improve security policy by educating thoughtful, ethical practitioners to navigate an uncertain security future and shaping the debate around pressing security issues in four focus areas: Critical & Emerging Technology Policy, National Security Strategy & Policy, Intelligence Studies, and Transnational Security Policy. Our partnerships with New Mexico's premier national laboratories provide the intellectual basis for understanding the threats to national security, particularly in technology and global "commons" (e.g., space, climate, food & water, and energy resources), and their role in international relations. Our graduates are educated in the consequences of the global diffusion of technology and communications. Our objective is to improve the nation's capacity to make ethical policy judgements about what should be done, and about what should not be done. We intend to expand the thinking that defines the security needs of the United States and of the world. GNSPI is seeking to hire an Administrative & Marketing Assistant student position. The selected candidate must be work study eligible and enrolled in courses for the Spring 2026 semester. The successful candidate will assist with daily administrative tasks and program marketing projects. They should be knowledgeable with common office software, such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Assist Director and Program Manager with general administrative tasks Assist with organizing office digital files Assist with database management Other duties as assigned Marketing & Program Support
