Director of Water Resources
to their growing team in St. Petersburg, FL. Our client is a niche engineering firm that provides consulting services in water resources and civil engineering to government agencies. They assist communities in developing, prioritizing, and implementing Capital Improvement Programs that emphasize multi-objective management solutions for their watersheds and built environment. Responsibilities
Leads a project team of hydrologist, water resource engineers and designers for the delivery of projects Oversees quality control and project management Provides support in scope development and project cost controls Leads in the preparation of technical reports and engineering specifications Successfully delivers projects to the satisfaction of our clients and key stakeholders Motivates, supports, and guides staff to successfully perform their roles, improve their skills, and act as an integral member of the entire project team. Tracks opportunities with existing and new clients, prepares proposals and win strategies Develops new business opportunities, responsible for client revenues and relationships Participates in professional associations and takes leadership roles in the industry Conducts technical presentations Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or PE with the ability to gain reciprocity 12+ years of competency in the field of stormwater and utilities engineering Prior project management experience, and track record of advancement Prior business development and client service management experience Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics Proven leadership skills A proven history leading and managing project teams to successfully meet client expectations Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering Prior experience in the Tampa Bay area or Central Florida working with local government agencies or FDOT is a plus Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivated, and team-oriented Strong organizational skills and technical problem solving A self-starter with innovative ideas and understanding of market conditions Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams
