divh2Senior Excess Casualty Underwriter/h2pThe Senior Excess Casualty Underwriter will review and analyze underwriting data in order to determine if risks meet underwriting standards for Crum Forsters Umbrella/Excess suite of products. This role is to be in our Northeast territory (preferably in the Boston area) with potential for hybrid Office/Remote capabilities./ppWhat you will do for CF:/pulliUnderwrite XS Casualty accounts via the wholesale channel preparing quotes binders for new and renewal business./liliProvide customer service to existing accounts broker relationships./liliMarket, sell and promote company products and programs to wholesale brokers./liliAssist in developing annual business plans, analyze and evaluate results for assigned producers./liliAttain premium, hit ratio and profitability goals as assigned./liliKeep abreast of industry market trends, competition, products and distribution systems./li/ulpWhat YOU will bring to CF:/pulliBachelors degree or equivalent and CPCU designation a plus./liliAt least 6 years of combined experience in either underwriting or brokering of Commercial Umbrella/Excess Casualty business. The position title will be based on the candidates level of prior experience./liliStrong relationships with wholesale casualty brokers in the Northeast/Boston./liliExcellent problem solving decision making skills./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills./liliAbility to work independently on your own book of business but also be a team player within the Surplus Specialty division/liliExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize various tasks as appropriate in a fast paced underwriting environment./liliSolid customer service and relationship building skills./liliDemonstrated desire and commitment to continually learn, accept new challenges, and strive for personal improvement/growth utilizing internal and external continuing education avenues./liliAbility to learn and use proprietary software and various computer systems and stay current with operational changes./liliTravel as necessary to broker marketing visits and corporate meetings/seminars./liliWill abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with CFs risk management controls./li/ulh2What CF will bring to you/h2pAt CF you will BELONG/ppWe value inclusivity and diversity. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $64,700 to a maximum of $121,600. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employees contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
