divh2Senior Excess Casualty Underwriter/h2pThe Senior Excess Casualty Underwriter will review and analyze underwriting data in order to determine if risks meet underwriting standards for Crum Forsters Umbrella/Excess suite of products. This role is to be in our Northeast territory (preferably in the Boston area) with potential for hybrid Office/Remote capabilities./ppWhat you will do for CF:/pulliUnderwrite XS Casualty accounts via the wholesale channel preparing quotes binders for new and renewal business./liliProvide customer service to existing accounts broker relationships./liliMarket, sell and promote company products and programs to wholesale brokers./liliAssist in developing annual business plans, analyze and evaluate results for assigned producers./liliAttain premium, hit ratio and profitability goals as assigned./liliKeep abreast of industry market trends, competition, products and distribution systems./li/ulpWhat YOU will bring to CF:/pulliBachelors degree or equivalent and CPCU designation a plus./liliAt least 6 years of combined experience in either underwriting or brokering of Commercial Umbrella/Excess Casualty business. The position title will be based on the candidates level of prior experience./liliStrong relationships with wholesale casualty brokers in the Northeast/Boston./liliExcellent problem solving decision making skills./liliStrong verbal and written communication skills./liliAbility to work independently on your own book of business but also be a team player within the Surplus Specialty division/liliExcellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize various tasks as appropriate in a fast paced underwriting environment./liliSolid customer service and relationship building skills./liliDemonstrated desire and commitment to continually learn, accept new challenges, and strive for personal improvement/growth utilizing internal and external continuing education avenues./liliAbility to learn and use proprietary software and various computer systems and stay current with operational changes./liliTravel as necessary to broker marketing visits and corporate meetings/seminars./liliWill abide by departmental policies and procedures, including authority levels, to comply with CFs risk management controls./li/ulh2What CF will bring to you/h2pAt CF you will BELONG/ppWe value inclusivity and diversity.
