Music Director - Worship Leader

Position summary: The Alto FBC music director-worship leader is a part‑time position responsible for coordinating, encouraging, and supporting the glorification of God through music and song. The position reports to the pastor.
Job responsibilities:
Direct, develop, and promote the church music program with an adult choir and special music presentations.
Prepare and guide instrumentalists to ensure effective music support during services.
Assist the pastor in planning worship services.
Lead congregation through music and song worship services.
Evaluate music program supplies, equipment, and needs. Coordinate with the pastor and various church committees to ensure the support and delivery of an effective church music program.
Arrange and provide music for church-related events and activities as needed.
Notify the pastor when an absence from duties is expected, giving advance notice when possible.
Qualifications:
The music director-worship leader must agree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
The church family appreciates the ability of this position to lead traditional and blended contemporary music selections during worship services.
More details:
The typical estimated weekly time commitment is six hours, including preparation and delivery. Special events, occasional activities, and personal leadership style may require additional weekly time commitment.
Two weeks of paid vacation are included.
Although the church is seeking a permanent candidate, Interim appointments will also be considered through mutual agreement.
2026 Budgeted Compensation: $15,000
