General Summary Assists with the development and implementation of educational and college preparatory services designed to support student readiness for college, success in postsecondary study, and progress toward graduation. Collaborates with leadership and staff to ensure programs are delivered effectively and align with organizational goals for student achievement.
Major Duties
Organizes and coordinates all tutoring and mentoring services during the academic year.
Collaborates with the program director to provide effective academic skills and college preparatory services to learning center school districts.
Collaborates with the program director to provide services to parents and families in specified cohort.
Recruits cohort students to participate in learning center programs, activities, and events.
Maintains and documents all records of student or parent and guardian interactions while monitoring student progress.
Researches changes to federal regulations and administrative requirements relevant program operations to ensure continued compliance.
Collects, organizes, and inputs all program data for annual performance reports and evaluation purposes.
Organizes and coordinates summer programs and campus for learning center participants.
Supervises University student employees serving as tutors and mentors and coordinates the placement and performance of each student staff.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Three years’ relevant experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with a diverse range of constituencies including staff, faculty, K-12 administrators, community members, and youth.
Experience working with first generation and low-income families.
Experience with program planning and implementation.
Experience providing college preparatory and readiness information and programming to K-12 youth.
Desired Qualifications
Five years’ relevant experience.
Experience with GEAR UP Partnership Grants or similar Pre-College Preparation and Readiness Projects.
Experience with Federal grants.
Experience collecting required data as a part of program services.
Experience with supervision.
