This position oversees the financial reporting process and supporting systems on a monthly basis. Prepares financial models and analysis related to business cases, new product launches, and strategic initiatives. Responsible for ensuring compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) over financial reporting and related Corporate Accounting policies. Manages coordination of both external and internal audits and maintains internal controls. Manages the daily operations of Accounting Department staff

What You’ll Do

Manage the month-end closing process; approve journal entries, and maintains integrity of the internal reporting system and Helios platform. Establish financial policies, procedures, and control measures to ensure all U.S.-based expenditures are identified, controlled, tracked, reported, and analyzed in a timely manner, in accordance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and VB Spine financial policies. Provide monthly financial statements and analysis to Corporate, Group, and Division leadership. Lead monthly Flash calls with the Group VP of Finance, Division VP of Finance, providing meaningful and insightful analysis. Complete quarterly and annual SEC reporting packages for the Corporate Worldwide Reporting team Manage all general ledger accounts and related account reconciliations in Blackline. Coordinate with both external and internal auditors to facilitate compliance and financial audits. Design, review, document, test, and enforce internal controls, policies, and procedures. Assist with the preparation of quarterly projections and annual budgets of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow. Prepare business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives and investments Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 10+ years of business experience in increasingly complex financial roles, with special emphasis on financial budgeting and planning. 5+ years managerial experience, leading staff of increasing size and breadth. Financial modeling experience Industry experience with a company that makes and sells products. Experience preparing budgets, forecasts and long-term plans. Experience managing accounting functions, including month and year end financial closings and related analysis. Experience managing both professional and clerical staff. Working knowledge of integrated financial systems such as: Oracle, JD Edwards, Hyperion, etc.

Compensation

Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. VB Spine reserves the right to offer compensation outside of this listed range. Final compensation is determined on a

case-by-case basis

and considers a variety of factors, including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
