Director, Product Development – Pensions at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) leads end‑to‑end management of pension and related product lines. The role focuses on strategic ownership, product vision, and cross‑functional delivery for critical IT operations supporting MTA’s transit mission. Responsibilities

Own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for One or more pension product lines. Guide interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, and maintain secure, high‑performance products aligned with MTA goals. Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and external agencies to align system architecture and business processes. Drive modernization initiatives, including PeopleSoft upgrades, UI improvements, and cloud migration opportunities. Leverage data insights to drive process optimization, automation, and member experience improvements. Communicate product strategy, status, risks, and outcomes to executive leadership and governance boards. Qualifications

10+ years of IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years managing enterprise applications. Proven expertise in Oracle PeopleSoft (preferably Pension Administration, HCM, or Benefits modules). Hands‑on knowledge of PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, SQR, BI Publisher, and Oracle Database (SQL/PLSQL). Experience integrating PeopleSoft with HR, Payroll, Finance, and public‑sector pension systems. Solid understanding of pension administration, benefit calculations, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams, manage vendors, and align technology strategy with compliance objectives. Knowledge of cloud services, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and modern automation tools is a plus. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least four years of supervisory/management experience. Equal Employment Opportunity
