Marketing Assistant – Trade Nonfiction Marketing
Position: Marketing Assistant – Trade Nonfiction Marketing
Department: Trade Nonfiction Marketing
Reports to: Sr. Marketing Manager and Brand Manager for The Bible Recap
Position Type: Full time, Nonexempt
Location: Baker Publishing Group, Ada, MI or Bloomington, MN, fully remote, or hybrid
Primary Purpose: The Marketing Assistant's primary objective is to support the administrative needs of the Sr. Marketing Manager. This includes assisting with The Bible Recap brand, acting as a liaison between brand manager and other team members and departments, assisting with various nonfiction titles, ensuring authors/agents are well cared for and, ultimately, that the department and BPG achieve the financial goals for each book.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedule and assist with planning author meetings
Prepare agendas
Organize necessary files
Attend author meetings & take notes
Process campaign expenses in CRM and process invoices through Medius and Emburse
Maintain marketing task tracker and budgets in project management tools
Help execute campaign tasks including but not limited to: internal web request ticket submissions, design ticket submissions, retail ticket submissions
Order advertising, as assigned, and work with internal teams to finalize ads with approval of the Sr. Marketing Manager
Plan strategic giveaways in partnership with social media specialist
Other duties, projects, and research as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior office/administrative/marketing experience, 2 years preferred
Project management and project management tool expertise, such as Asana
Microsoft Office tool expertise
Proven organizational abilities, prioritization skills, attention to detail, follow-through
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Travel up to 10% of the time, as needed for author or departmental meetings and events
College degree required; Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred
Compensation and Benefits: Commensurate with qualifications and experience. As a full-time position, benefits provided include health, dental, group life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid time off, paid medical leave, paid parental leave, 401(k) after three months, and others.
