
Job Summary
The Leasing Consultant will show and lease apartments to prospective residents and support the property’s marketing plan.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Answer phones and assist walk-in customers as needed.
Complete and process applications, collect deposits/fees, and achieve monthly leasing goals.
Inspect units and ensure readiness according to company standards.
Conduct move-in processes and required paperwork for new residents.
Maintain model and target apartments; ensure work areas are clean and organized.
Maintain knowledge of lease terms, policies, and current market conditions.
Perform outreach marketing at least once per week.
Maintain relationships with apartment locator services and local businesses.
Conduct competitive property shopping and resident retention programs.
Assist in the renewal process and collection of delinquent rents.
Handle resident requests and complaints courteously and efficiently.
Maintain professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; related experience preferred but not required.
Bi-lingual in English & Spanish.
1+ year experience with ResMan or similar property management software.
Reliable transportation (position requires marketing/outing to properties).
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Basic mathematical skills (percentages, interest, commissions, etc.).
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
Ability to occasionally lift/move up to 10 pounds and perform other physical duties as needed.
Work Environment
Exposure to outside weather conditions.
Moderate noise level.
