We are seeking a Legal Counsel / Associate with strong professional integrity, motivation, and relevant experience to join the Legal & Tax Department of Kongsberg Maritime. This is a general in-house legal role offering varied and challenging work in an international and business-oriented environment.
You will work closely with business units, management, and external advisors, contributing directly to value creation, governance, and strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Provide general legal advice with a primary focus on
contract law and national and international dispute resolution
Support matters related to
corporate governance, competition law, compliance, regulatory issues, and M&A
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements
Contribute to internal legal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
Participate in professional networks and collaborate with external legal advisors
Support legal matters across a broad range of business and operational areas

Qualifications
Master of Laws (preferably from Norway)
High professional and ethical standards
3 to 7 years of relevant legal experience (candidates with both shorter and longer experience may be considered if the overall profile is strong)
Ability to work independently as well as in interdisciplinary teams
Strong capacity to manage multiple complex and demanding matters simultaneously
Excellent English skills, both written and spoken
Willingness to work across multiple legal disciplines
Some travel should be expected
