The Property Management Specialist is responsible for managing the leasing process for residential or commercial properties within the portfolio. This role focuses on attracting and retaining tenants, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and delivering exceptional customer service to prospective and current residents.
Responsibilities
Solicit and develop opportunities to increase full-service property management to property owners. Monitor & process leasing applications received for any company rental listing.
Ensure successful delivery of managed property services to property owners and tenants. Collect detailed employment, financial and personal documentation from applicants to assess their ability to lease a rental property. Maintain positive client relations to maximize future opportunities and retention of existing clients.
Participate in the development and delivery of agent training to ensure knowledge of property management services.
Assist owners with lease preparation and rental referral agreements.
Oversee or perform administrative activities to include database maintenance, vendor/contractor management, correspondence and marketing reporting.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management.
Perform responsibilities as directed achieving desired results within expected time frames and with a high degree of quality and professionalism.
Establish and maintain positive and productive work relationships with all staff, customers and business partners.
Demonstrate the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to effectively complete job responsibilities. Take personal initiative for technical and professional development.
Follow the company HR Policy, the Code of Business Conduct and all subsidiary and department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company information, attending work punctually and regularly, and following good safety practices in all activities.
Qualifications Education
Associates degree in marketing, business administration or related field or equivalent knowledge and work experience.
Experience
Four years marketing, sales and customer service experience including three years in real estate.
Experience working with clients, property owners and real estate professionals.
Knowledge and Skills
Effective oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
Analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
Proficiency in business software.
Microsoft Office products.
Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.)
