The Business Development Representative (Team Lead) is a hands-on, individual contributor who also provides operational leadership to a small team of BDRs. This player-coach role focuses on driving pipeline growth through proactive prospecting, while mentoring and guiding team members to achieve their goals. Operating in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment, this role leverages technology and data to identify opportunities and deliver value to prospective customers in the manufacturing technology sector. The role reports the team's results directly to the Global Sr. Manager, ensuring visibility and alignment with organizational objectives. Key Responsibilities Drive new business opportunities by proactively prospecting and qualifying leads through calls, emails, and social outreach. Own individual pipeline targets and consistently meet or exceed monthly and quarterly goals. Act as a player-coach, balancing personal quota attainment with coaching and supporting a small team of BDRs. Provide day-to-day operational guidance to team members, serving as the first point of contact for escalations and operational questions. Monitor and analyze team performance metrics, offering feedback and actionable insights to improve results. Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to align outreach strategies and ensure a seamless lead handoff process. Leverage AI-driven tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo) to optimize prospecting efforts and maintain accurate records. Contribute to process improvements, sharing ideas to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the BDR function. Onboard new BDRs in coordination with the BDR Manager, ensuring a smooth transition and ramp-up. Foster a culture of continuous learning, encouraging adaptability and innovation within the team. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or inside sales within the software or technology sector. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding pipeline and revenue targets. Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales engagement tools. Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment and adapt to evolving technologies. Experience in the manufacturing industry or familiarity with manufacturing technology solutions. Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software or related complex software products. Previous experience in a player-coach or informal leadership role. Familiarity with AI-driven sales tools and data-driven prospecting strategies. Hands-on experience with Salesforce, Outreach, and ZoomInfo/Dealfront for prospecting and pipeline management.
