Real Estate Junior Partner

We are seeking a Junior Partner to join our Commercial Real Estate Practice. This role is ideal for an experienced transactional attorney with a strong commercial real estate background who is ready to take on increased leadership responsibilities, including client advising, matter oversight, and business development. The candidate should be experienced in complex real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions/dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and real estate diligence supporting M&A transactions

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee commercial real estate matters from structuring through closing, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing transactions (landlord and tenant), sale-leasebacks, and portfolio transactions and related commercial matters

Serve as strategic advisor to clients on transaction structuring, risk allocation, and negotiated positions

Draft, review, and negotiate principal transaction documents, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, subleases, assignments, and amendments, sale-leaseback and financing-adjacent documents, easements, restrictive covenants, and related documents

Oversee and manage real estate due diligence and title review processes, including issue spotting, resolution strategy, and negotiation with counterparties

Support corporate/M&A transactions by advising on real estate diligence and deal execution

Provide mentorship to associates and contribute to internal training and practice development

Contribute to business development efforts, including building and maintaining client relationships and identifying growth opportunities

Skills & Qualifications

JD from an ABA accredited law school

7+ years (preferred) of commercial real estate transactional experience at a law firm and/or in-house

Strong experience across leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, sale-leasebacks, and real estate due diligence (including title review)

Proven ability to lead transactions and oversee teams effectively

Strong client management and relationship-building skills

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills

Finn Dixon is based in Stamford, Connecticut and currently maintains a hybrid work environment with candidates generally expected to be in office at least 2 days per week.
