Role Description The Senior Director of Finance & Controller is a full-time, hybrid role based in Wheat Ridge, CO, with the flexibility for some remote work. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, and reporting functions. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing budgets, and collaborating with other departments to support the organization’s strategic objectives. The role also involves developing financial strategies and maintaining fiscal responsibility to ensure the organization’s ongoing sustainability and success.
Qualifications
Strong background in Financial Planning, Budgeting, and Financial Strategy development
Proficiency in preparing Financial Statements and thorough understanding of Financial Reporting
Exceptional Analytical Skills and expertise in Finance-related decision-making
Proven ability to ensure accurate financial documentation and compliance with regulations
Leadership and team management experience
Proficiency with financial systems and software
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred
Experience in nonprofit finance or arts organizations is a plus
