Job Title : Civil/Site Development CAD Designer
Location : Tucker, GA (Remote flexibility available)
Employment Type : Long-Term Contract
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Civil/Site Development CAD Designer to support long-term project needs for a leading utilities company in Tucker, GA. This role can be performed remotely. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Civil 3D and capable of independently producing high-quality civil/site development drawings with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed civil and site development drawings based on design data and project requirements.
Interpret engineering design information and apply appropriate drafting standards, practices, and procedures.
Complete initial drawing preparation, conduct initial self-checks, and revise drawings after review by the project engineer or designer.
Convert field markups into accurate and complete as-built drawings.
Ensure all drawings are thorough, accurate, and require minimal revisions.
Work on assignments that are moderately complex and require independent judgment.
Support CAD administrative functions, including file management, standards maintenance, and workflow improvements.
Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and other team members to meet project deliverables and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Proficient and hands‑on experience with
Autodesk Civil 3D
(required).
Strong understanding of civil/site development drafting standards and best practices.
Ability to interpret engineering data and work independently on assigned tasks.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high‑quality drawings.
Experience preparing redlines, as‑builts, and revising drawings based on engineering feedback.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with a remote or hybrid team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within the utilities industry.
Familiarity with CAD standards development or administration.
