Position: Product Analyst
Direct Recruit Agency is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Analyst to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Product Analyst, you will play a critical role in the development and success of our products by conducting market research, analyzing data, and providing insights to inform product strategy and decision-making.

Key Aspects of the Role
Work closely with business stakeholders and the squad to refine requirements, update user stories, and ensure backlog readiness for each sprint.
Day-to-Day Expectations
Partner with business stakeholders to refine and document requirements, ensuring user stories and acceptance criteria accurately reflect business needs and are prioritized for upcoming sprints.
Collaborate with PO, dev team, and UAT coordinator to keep the backlog current, updating stories, clarifying scope, resolving blockers, and confirming readiness for sprint planning and grooming sessions.
Coordinate with support for UAT by ensuring test cases are prepared in time and consolidating stakeholder feedback for signoff.
30-60-90 Day Expectation
0-30 Days (Learn)
People: Know who they are.
Product team structure, squad members, business stakeholders.
Process: Learn/understand about the process, sprint cadence, requirements gathering, UAT cycles, data flow (end to end), technology (features, where docs are stored, how to find docs).
Tools: Jira, Jira Align, product technologies (Python dash), GoldenSource, Alteryx and Tableau, SharePoint Online and Confluence.
30-60 Days (Partial ownership with partnership/guidance)
People: Build relationships with key stakeholders, analysts, managers, squad members.
Process: Navigate processes based on tasks with guidance from PO.
Technology: Understand functionalities of each technology used, find information across systems with direction.
60+ Days (Independent ownership of known items)
People: Manage relationships, facilitate discussion between squad and business resources, product backlog review.
Process: Maintain/optimize processes, lead requirements gathering.
Technology: Co-own Jira backlog, collaborate for Jira Align, maintain SharePoint Online and Confluence, assist in testing and managing UAT timeline.
Interview Process 2-3 rounds. First round with PO, second round with business stakeholders, third round with product team leads.
Responsible for working directly with business stakeholders to shape demand and strategize on opportunities, oversee the ongoing development and delivery of technology products and platforms, and ensure the achievement of business outcomes and value. Manages the life cycle of the product, establishes and maintains relationships with key business stakeholders, and facilitates and drives alignment among stakeholders.
What You Will Do
Work with business and IT partners to develop inspiring product visions, derived from business needs, into product roadmaps that align with business and IT strategies.
Exhibit expertise across the Statistics product features and partner seamlessly across squads (including those supporting Treasury).
Interpret requirements, write user stories, and work with technical teams, developers, business analysts, UX, and internal constituents to determine the details.
Be the voice of the business customer, identifying gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, managing backlog, and prioritizing work within sprints.
Partner with Scrum Master and technical teams to participate in agile ceremonies (sprint demos, retrospectives, sprint planning).
Proactively lead and collaborate with the UAT coordinator on user acceptance testing, schedule meetings, track progress, and ensure alignment with the squad for successful releases.
Work with technology teams to respond to changing priorities and delivery requirements across multiple products or product areas.
Exhibit expertise within product feature areas and coordinate with interdependent teams to provide product support.
Define, monitor, and communicate product-specific operational KPIs once a product enters production; set and manage targets by influencing technology support services and best practices.
Promote agile behaviors within business areas to accelerate the transition to the new operating model.
Support overall activities and responsibilities of the Product Management team.
Qualifications
2+ years of relevant experience as a Product Analyst or similar experience within an agile team environment.
Ability to work independently to drive forward product initiatives.
Must exhibit strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style, and can share technical ideas and approaches with others.
IT Cloud Infrastructure, software development process, and technical software experience preferred.
Certified Product Owner preferred.
Experience with Python is a plus.
Experience in using Jira is a plus.
Experience with the GoldenSource product is a plus.
Skills
Agile experience / BA or analyst.
Confident communicator who collaborates with stakeholders, drives outcomes, reports progress, and escalates issues as needed.
Technical minded.
