About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Accounting to lead accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance for a growing organization. This is a hands‑on, transactional role that requires a CPA and offers opportunities for process improvements and automation initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment and balances strategic oversight with day‑to‑day execution.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of general accounting, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, and revenue recognition.
Manage daily cash flow, borrowing, and treasury functions.
Ensure timely and accurate month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
Lead the annual external audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements.
Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with FP&A, Treasury, Legal, and other departments to support business initiatives.
Support ERP upgrades or system implementations impacting accounting workflows.
Conduct technical accounting research and prepare documentation as needed.
Monitor emerging accounting standards and assess their impact on the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred.
CPA required.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership role.
Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of US GAAP and internal‑control frameworks.
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
