Role Overview
As a Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent at FRONTIER, you will oversee and coordinate construction activities. Your leadership will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and organization. You will embody our core values to lead with integrity, foster teamwork, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to schedules.
Partner closely with Project Managers and field leadership to coordinate trades and ensure efficient collaboration—no silos, no egos.
Take full accountability for jobsite safety, schedule, quality, and cleanliness, owning commitments and addressing problems immediately with no excuses.
Set the tone early on for a clean and organized job site; enforce end-of-day cleanup daily and demand high standards for site organization.
Enforce clear and honest communication, providing advanced notice for work to be performed, maintaining daily updates, and utilizing REDIAL on the phone for clarity.
Understand and own the project by knowing key milestones, the critical path, and the day-to-day tasks and durations of each scope of work.
Ensure safety on the project with a commitment that everyone goes home safe.
Maintain rigorous quality control by thoroughly understanding scopes of work, monitoring construction progress closely, and conducting punch work as you go.
Stay engaged from mobilization through closeout, planning work ahead to keep crews productive and pushing the job forward—even on difficult days.
Provide clear direction to trades and run efficient, focused coordination meetings to ensure understanding and prevent conflicts.
Embrace a mindset of endless improvement by learning from every project phase and adopting better methods, tools, and processes.
Resolve on-site challenges promptly to minimize delays.
Travel to various project locations as needed, embracing the variety and opportunities this brings.
What We Expect
Proven experience as a commercial construction superintendent or similar leadership role.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, quality standards, and site organization.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Willingness and ability to travel frequently for extended periods.
Demonstrate dedication, passion for craftsmanship, and commitment to finishing what you start.
Working knowledge of a computer, tablet, drone and Procore are a plus.
Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.
