Our client, a healthcare AI software startup, is seeking a Founding Sales Engineer to join its early go-to-market team. This is a critical first hire in sales engineering and a highly visible founding role within the company.

About the Role As the first dedicated Sales Engineer, you will bridge go-to-market and core engineering teams, helping shape how the platform is positioned, demonstrated, and sold. This role is well-suited for a hands‑on technical builder who is excited about healthcare, data, and AI, and who enjoys operating in a fast-moving, mission‑driven startup environment.

What You’ll Do

Lead technical discovery, solution scoping, and product demos for prospects and customers

Build and deliver customized demos that showcase the platform’s AI capabilities and real‑world healthcare use cases

Partner closely with Account Executives on deal strategy, proposals, and technical validation

Collaborate with product and engineering teams to relay customer feedback and influence roadmap priorities

Create sales and technical enablement from the ground up, including demo assets, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation

Develop internal and external enablement materials to support scalable sales execution

Operate effectively in a 0–1 environment without established processes or frameworks

UI design and prototyping for demos

What We’re Looking For

5–15 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, including 2+ years in pre‑sales or solutions engineering

Proven experience leading customized technical demos in a B2B SaaS environment

Strong collaboration experience with sales, engineering, and product teams

Demonstrated ability to build sales enablement and technical assets from scratch

Experience at AI‑driven B2B SaaS startups; founding or early-stage Sales Engineer experience strongly preferred

Strong engineering fundamentals and technical fluency

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred
