Entry Level Trade Support Analyst Contract Rate: $20/hr w2 without benefits Hybrid Bachelor's required

The Baltimore Trade Support Group in our Derivatives Clearing department is responsible for the management of trade flow for futures and options on futures contracts, both for client and proprietary trading activity on North American Exchanges. Daily functions include resolution of position breaks through interaction with internal and external clients, clearing exception management, trade allocation, and trade flow automation. This position requires a focus on risk management and control with additional emphasis on the reduction of processing inefficiencies and increase in controls through process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities Daily Trade Support functions for futures and options on futures across North American and European markets include:
Resolving client, exchange, and risk trade breaks
Managing trade allocations for Institutional and Wealth Management clients
Investigating and resolving top day clearing exceptions – developing trade flow solutions
Communicating with internal and external parties
Facilitating exchange trade entry; focus on risk management and control with respect to processes and procedures; resolution of client issues with a focus on root cause analysis and risk mitigation
Actively participate in team meetings, raise issues, question the status quo and offer solutions/ideas
Work as a member of a team; help others in the team with tasks and issues
Analyze problems to establish root causes and suggest clear, logical and practical solutions based upon extensive analysis
Contribute to refining controls and continuously improving and reducing operational risk; build and manage stakeholder relationships across silos
Acquire & demonstrate deep knowledge of the product and/or functional area for which they are responsible; establish clear goals and set priorities for themselves
Experience & Skills Minimum Requirements:
Must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail; must have ability to work under a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Excel & Word required
Ability to work in a team and build strong networks
Strong problem-solving, organizational and prioritization skills
Flexibility and ability to learn in a fast paced environment
Strong communication skills, verbal and written required
Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of basic financial concepts and markets preferred
Listed Derivatives experience a plus
Experience in a corporate business environment preferred
Clearance and settlement or reconciliation experience preferred
Self-motivated, inquisitive in nature, a strong appetite to learn
Ability to learn and train othersDemonstrate commitment for risk management and clear focus on process improvement
