KUSA KTVD-TV Denver is looking for a bold, creative, and collaborative Nightside Content Manager to lead our editorial strategy during evenings and overnight hours. This leader will drive a story-centric, audience-first content operationensuring every story we pursue starts with why it matters and lives where the audience is: broadcast, streaming, web, mobile, and social. We're seeking someone who thrives in urgent, high-stakes environments, champions accountability journalism, and fuels a team to create distinctive local stories that break throughnot just fill time slots. Responsibilities: Lead and coach the nightside content teamproducers, reporters, photojournalists, anchors, and Story Desk editors. Own the story-first editorial vision and execution across all platforms. Drive real-time, enterprising, and impact-focused coverage for late newscasts and 24/7 streaming and digital experiences. Lead breaking news with confidence and claritypublishing early, updating often, and maximizing audience engagement. Collaborate with the Story Management Desk to shape and elevate coverage across platforms and dayparts. Prioritize storytelling that provides context, solutions, and community valuenot just headlines. Use real-time analytics to guide decisions and sharpen performance. Ensure seamless transitions between dayparts with strong story handoffs and planning. Foster a culture of innovation, urgency, and inclusive, ethical journalism. Coach content creators on writing, visual storytelling, vertical video, and multiplatform best practices. Requirements: What You Bring Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field 5+ years in a professional newsroom, with proven success across platforms 2+ years newsroom leadership experience preferred Demonstrated ability to lead during breaking news and high-pressure moments Mastery of multiplatform storytelling and content distribution Deep understanding of audience needs on linear, OTT, digital, mobile, and social Experience with analytics and data-informed editorial decisions Proficiency with newsroom systems (e.g., ENPS), CMS tools, and social platforms Passion for innovation, story-driven journalism, and serving the community Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed About 9NEWS 9NEWS is a journalism-first newsroom that leads with impact, integrity, and innovation. Pay Range $90,000 - $115,000 USD TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families.
